Dead world was the follow up to in the key of blue. This was another part of my self professed cleansing of getting some music out of my system that I feel has been hanging around in my soul for far too long.
This album once again had a very blues tinge to the music with a little bit of jazz and R&B as well and more of a classic rock base then what in the key of blue head.
The album was originally intended to be a soundtrack for a show/movie that never materialized due to differences of creativity. Nonetheless it’s a strong effort of a different style music than white people who know me and fans of Hydrogyn. The album was originally intended to be a soundtrack for a show/movie that never materialized due to differences of creativity. Nonetheless it’s a strong effort of a different style music than white people who know me and fans of hydrogyn had not heard in the past. If you really listened to some of our older material things like the song shadow and a few others you could hear the blues influence even in the songs back then.
This album was just very diversified it even included an instrumental. The musicians on this album or people I’ve worked with in the past to include the ever present John Cardilino on drums, Joe Caudill on anything that was a keyboard, Terry Withrow also let guitar playing to the effort, Erica from hydrogen I’m backing vocals And Jeff Carter on the amazing saxophone. I really don’t know where my solo efforts are going to go from here. I am going to just let that take its own course and we will see what happens. But for now take a listen to the mini sounds of dead world and I hope you enjoy.
